NEW YORK, January 28, 2026 (TECH INFO SCENE) — Financial technology company Options Technology has announced the availability of the first commercially accessible quantum computing capability in New York City. The platform is delivered as part of Options’ global hybrid compute infrastructure and is designed to support capital markets workloads that require large-scale simulation, optimization, and risk management.

The quantum system is deployed within a New York City data center operated by Digital Realty and is integrated into Options’ low-latency global infrastructure. The environment combines early commercial quantum systems from Oxford Quantum Circuits with classical CPU and GPU-based computing, allowing workloads to be assigned based on performance requirements, latency sensitivity, regulatory considerations, and data sovereignty.

The platform enables capital markets firms to access quantum computing for targeted use cases without disrupting existing production environments. These use cases include portfolio optimization and derivatives risk modeling, which rely on probabilistic simulations and require substantial computational resources under changing market conditions.

“Quantum computing is no longer theoretical for capital markets, it’s becoming a practical tool for specific, high-value problems. What matters now is controlled, secure access. By making quantum compute commercially available within our governed infrastructure platform, we’re enabling clients to experiment, validate and adopt these capabilities in a way that aligns with real trading, risk and compliance requirements,” said Danny Moore, President and Chief Executive Officer of Options Technology.

Access to quantum computing is provided through Options’ global low-latency infrastructure, which connects more than 70 data centers worldwide. Clients can engage with quantum-enabled workloads using the same security and control frameworks applied across the company’s existing compute and data platforms.

Options statesd that the launch reflects a broader industry shift toward hybrid computing architectures that combine classical, accelerated, and emerging technologies as capital markets firms seek to improve performance, manage risk, and expand advanced analytics capabilities.
